The files in this folder generate Figure 8: the AC stark shift of MF=5 as a function of polarisation angle

The main python script is angle_variation.py which produces the image files as .pdf and .png

The file Fresnel Rotations.xlsx is an excel file that has a calculation of the transmission of light at 54 degree incident angle

the folder \Data contains the data for the figure

the files Angles_355G.csv and Angles_181G.csv contain the theory predictions of the ac stark shift. The files with suffix _m and _p are the negative and positive errorbars.

these files have the following structure, arranged as rows:

polarisation angle (degrees)
State Energy (Hz)
.
.
.

the states are sorted by energy at 181G.

\350G[intensity theory] and \181G[intensity theory] contain theory data.

Each folder contain 4 files each the transition frequency at 54,62,63 and 64 degrees as indicated by the file name.

The files have the following structure:
Intensity (W/m^2), transition frequency 1(kHz)... transition frequency 96 (kHz)

\EXP contains the experimental data

The file names include whether the polarisation angle was varied (at fixed intensity) or the intensity was varied (at fixed polarisation B=63) and the magnetic field (181.5G or 355G)

the angle variation files have the following data:

The polarisation angle of the 1064 laser before the glass cell (degrees) , Transition Frequency Shift (MHz), error (MHz)

the intensity variation files have the following data:
The laser control voltage(V), measured transition frequency (kHz), error (kHz)

the conversion between laser control voltage and power/intensity is done in the python script.
